OUR SOCIAL IMPACT MISSION
Doing Well by Doing Good.
Eternel Hemp believes in being the change we want to see in the world, this is why we partner with social impact firms providing returning citizens (formerly incarcerated individuals) well-paying green collar jobs, skills training and mentorship. We hire directly from local organizations aimed at decreasing the “revolving door” back to prison for people who are unable to find work when released from incarceration.
BREAKING THE RECIDIVISM CYCLE
The recidivism rates in the United States are higher than ever before. Currently, 83% of state prisoners are reincarcerated within 9 years of release, over 40% in the first year after release. This high number is directly linked to poverty, systematic racial injustice, and the lack of quality jobs offered post-incarceration.
Eternel Hemp believes in reform. Once time is served citizens have the right to thrive. This is why we welcome and provide quality green collar employment, skills training, and mentorship opportunities to returning citizens.
Eternel Hemp launched our indoor hemp farm in one of Delaware’s low-income Opportunity Zones to proactively break the cycle of poverty. Our success is our team’s success, which is why we provide two-tier profit sharing to all employees.
